Happy Ramadan To All Muslims!

September 12th, 2007

Ramadan is an Islamic religious observance that takes place during the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, when the Qur’an was revealed. The name “Ramadan” is taken from the name of this month; the word itself derived from an Arabic word for intense heat, scorched ground, and shortness of rations. It is considered the most venerated and blessed month of the Islamic year. Prayers, sawm (fasting), charity, and self-accountability are especially stressed at this time; religious observances associated with Ramadan are kept throughout the month.

Laylat al-Qadr, which falls during the last third, commemorates the revelation of the first verses of the Qur’an and is considered the most holy night of the year. Ramadan ends with the holiday Eid ul-Fitr, on which feasts are held. During the month following Ramadan, called Shawaal, Muslims are encouraged to fast for a further six days.

Ubuntu Feisty Fawn 7.04 + Beryl

Ah, another update! Lol, Ok, so WTH is this? Ah, it’s simple though. This is uh, Ubuntu Feisty Fawn 7.04, well one of the Linux distro. I’m uh currently using this OS with a dual bootup with XP. So every time if I want to boot my com, I have to choose the OS that I wanna boot. Simple enough huh? :) Well, what I like bout Ubuntu is that.. it has a very nice interface. With Beryl you can simply just enable the Cube rotation and other stuffs as well. I don’t have the screenshot though, I only have the cube rotation one. It’s like damn chun when you spin your desktop around with a cubic shape!

You can simply just turn around to your desire desktop while your other program is running. It’s called the workspace, instead of “desktop” in XP. Wateva, it brings the same meaning right? XD I’m using a Vista theme through Emerald. It has the transparent panel of Vista and looks better when you wobble. Ubuntu 7.04 is better than the previous version with more efficient services like whenever you plug in a new device, Ubuntu will simply prompt you whether you want to update the plug in required or not. That’s all from me, more updates soon!
